‘Riding Dapper for a Cause’ – that’s The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride that’s now become an annual event across the world. This year’s event is on Sunday, 21 May 2023, sponsored once again by Triumph Motorcycles and new-for-2023 Quad Lock.

As usual the DGR will support the charity Movember which works across two issues facing men: prostrate cancer and mental issues.

The idea of DGR is simple: to unite classic and vintage styled motorcycle riders from all over the world to raise funds and awareness for Movember. It’s also a barrel of fun where riders get to dress up in their Sunday Best as something a bit different.

The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride was founded in Sydney, Australia, by Mark Hawwa in 2012.  Mark decided a themed ride would be a great way of connecting niche motorcycle enthusiasts and communities while raising funds to support men.

Since 2012, the DGR has raised $37.5m across 121 countries, and involved 340,000 riders. To take part, you simply have to register on the DGR website (click here), raised some funds, dust off your riding clothes and get out on your bike in your local event. Oh, and you don’t have to be a gentleman – plenty of women take part too!
