California-based helicopter manufacturer Robinson has announced a brand new helicopter, its first for 15 years. It’s the R88.
The announcement was made on at Verticon 2025, the former HAI Heli-Expo trade show which has been renamed to cater for drones and eVTOL aircraft as well as helicopters.
The R88 is aimed at the market for single-engine utility helicopters, and is powered a 1,000shp French turbine. The helicopter can be configured for designed for a variety of missions, including aerial firefighting, air medical transport, utility work, passenger transport and more.
