Nine classic British motorbikes including Triumph, Norton, Zenith, Ariel and New Imperial come up for sale later this week at an Antiques & Interiors auction being held in Penzance, Cornwall by David Lays Auctioneers.
Viewings in Penzance continue all week, including Wednesday 19 July from 9am to 5pm. You can also view the catalogue, bid and watch live online at www.davidlay.co.uk
The motorcycles (Lot 400-408) will be auctioned on day two, Friday 21 July from 10am BST.
Among the motorcycles up for sale is a 1953 BSA Bantam D1 125cc motorcycle, registration number LAS 923, with two former keepers and an estimate of £600 to £900.
The auctioneer said, “This private Cornish collection of motorbikes has been entered for sale by the family of the late collector.
“They have been dry stored in a container, and prior to this in a large garage/workshop.
“They were all running at some point during his ownership, although most have not been run in recent years, and none recently. We have not seen any running, although none appear to be seized.”
