Cirrus has introduced the Generation 3 (G3) Vision Jet, marking the latest update to its single-engine personal jet line. The aircraft brings a redesigned cabin, increased seating capacity, and a series of technology upgrades aimed at improving safety and pilot workload management.

The Vision Jet, first launched as the world’s first single-engine personal jet, remains the best-selling jet in its category. The G3 version builds on that platform with more than 30 refinements across the aircraft.

One of the most significant changes is in the cabin. The G3 now accommodates up to seven occupants, including six adults, compared to earlier configurations. The third row has been redesigned as a bench seat, improving usable space and passenger comfort.

Cirrus has also updated the seating throughout the cabin. Seats now feature revised ergonomics, with additional support in the headrest, armrests, and knee areas. Pilot and co-pilot seats can be adjusted fully aft using a single-hand mechanism, while the middle-row seats can be removed or installed using a single lever system.

Interior materials and finishes have also been updated. The G3 introduces new seat designs with hardshell backs and hand-wrapped Alcantara surfaces. Buyers can choose from five interior colour schemes.

The aircraft’s avionics and onboard systems receive a range of updates focused on reducing pilot workload and improving situational awareness. Automatic database updates, enabled through Cirrus IQ PRO Advanced, ensure navigation and flight data remain current without manual intervention.

A new “alerts linked checklists” feature connects system alerts directly to relevant checklists, allowing pilots to access procedures more quickly during high-workload situations.

Ground operations have also been enhanced. Taxiway Routing and 3D SafeTaxi provide improved airport surface awareness, offering clear guidance and mapping when operating at unfamiliar airports.

Externally, the G3 introduces updated lighting through Cirrus Spectra technology. The system includes landing lights that are 2.7 times brighter than previous versions, along with distinctive halo lighting designed to improve visibility during approach and ground operations.

As with previous Vision Jet models, the G3 includes the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS) as standard equipment. The aircraft also retains Safe Return Emergency Autoland, allowing the aircraft to land itself in an emergency if the pilot becomes incapacitated.

Cirrus has delivered more than 700 Vision Jets worldwide. The aircraft is primarily aimed at private owners, business operators, and entrepreneurs seeking point-to-point travel without the complexity of larger jet operations.

Beyond the aircraft itself, Cirrus continues to position the Vision Jet as part of a broader ownership ecosystem. This includes Cirrus Approach flight training, Cirrus One aircraft management, and Cirrus IQ connectivity services. Financing, insurance, and trade-in programmes under Cirrus Next are also part of the offering.

Cirrus says these services are intended to simplify ownership and reduce barriers for new jet operators, particularly those transitioning from piston aircraft or turboprops.

The company also maintains an owner community through its Vision Jet Pilot and Owner (VPO) network, which provides events, training, and support resources.

The G3 Vision Jet is now in production, with deliveries underway. Cirrus has not announced pricing changes alongside the update.
